Future Students Schools Year 7 to 9 students

Programs for Year 7 to 9 Students

Our FREE In-school and On-campus programs provide a range of interactive activities for students from Years 7-9 and are designed to enable students to achieve self-discovery and  explore career options. The objective of the school activities for this group is to empower every student to have confidence in selecting a career area discipline at the end of year 9.

The key principals of our engagement focuses on a student first focus approach regardless of the tertiary institution they ultimately choose. A matrix of activities relevant to the student’s age and academic knowledge has been developed with outcome aims to:

  • build confidence
  • learn positive self-esteem strategies
  • develop tools for overcoming obstacles and achieving goals
  • explore future study and work opportunities
  • understand available financial supports
  • identify the key support people who can help them achieve their post high school goals.

Our In-school program is offered to Higher Education Participation and Partnership Program (HEPPP) identified schools in North and far North Queensland and seeks to engage students in a sufficient level of tertiary demystification and preparation activities to stimulate interest in tertiary study.
