Chung-Ang University is now aiming to become one of the leading education institutions in the world by 2018, its centennial year. It has already set an innovative pace in internationalizing its campus. Chung-Ang University administers a wide range of student exchange programs with its partner schools around the world on a semestral or academic-year basis. For exchange students from most colleges and universities, the credits earned at Chung-Ang University can be transferred back to the student’s home university.
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is a huge metropolis where modern skyscrapers, high-tech subways and pop culture meet Buddhist temples, palaces and street markets. Notable attractions include futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a convention hall with curving architecture and a rooftop park; Gyeongbokgung Palace, which once had more than 7,000 rooms; and Jogyesa Temple, site of ancient locust and pine trees.

Exchange students are housed at the dormitories/apartments of the Seoul or Anseong campus, based on the conditions laid out in the exchange agreement.
Cost of living varies depending on personal needs, the estimated cost of living for one year including on-campus accommodation, food, health insurance, transport, textbooks and supplies and spending is estimated at USD 9000.
It is the responsibility of the student to use the Certificate of Admission received from Chung-Ang University to obtain a student visa (D-2 visa), which is needed to attend Chung-Ang University. Korean consulates issue student visa, usually overnight. All foreigners who intend to stay in Korea for over 90 days must obtain a Certificate of Alien Registration from the Seoul Immigration Office. The application for such certificate costs WON 10,000 (about USD 10) and requires three passport-size photos.
CAU offers Global scholarships to students from Australia, England, Canada, and America. Successful applicants receive a monthly stipend for a fixed number of work hours per week (8-12 hrs).
