About the University

Founded in 1899, Northern Arizona University is a public university centred on students. Their academic programs, research, public service, and creative endeavours enrich lives and create opportunities in Arizona and beyond. They develop solutions to challenges and drive innovation in a supportive, inclusive, and diverse environment. Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, NAU is built on a student-first foundation – this was true when they opened their doors more than 100 years ago, and it is true now.

Location

Flagstaff, Arizona, United States of America

Flagstaff is a city in the US State of Arizona, surrounded by mountains, desert and ponderosa pine forests. It’s a gateway to the San Francisco Peaks, home to Arizona’s tallest mountain (Humphreys Peak) and the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort. Nearby, Wupatki National Monument has Native American pueblo sites, and Walnut Canyon National Monument is dotted with their cliff dwellings.
