Summary of Project

Tuberculosis is the number one infectious disease killer in the world, leading to the deaths of 1.4 million people in 2014. Control programs target testing and treatment as a key strategy for controlling TB. The impact of early detection is critically dependent on the proportion of the infectious period that each strategy eliminates. This work will estimate infectiousness based on patient specific factors and over time, using time series statistical analyses, and models.
