Summary of Project

This research provides a critical interrogation of liveability indicators with a focus on what drives Australian and international migrants to choose cities such as Cairns as a destination to live and work. The project examines the profiles of recent migrants to Cairns to understand impulses behind their mobility, an analysis of the jobs they undertake/businesses they bring and works with wide range of key stakeholders (Cairns Regional Council, the Chamber of Commerce, etc) to help deliver strategies for sustainable regional economic growth..
