Summary of Project
A project is available for an ambitious HDR student to work with our research team on discovering and testing new molecular therapies for inflammatory disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and diabetes. Specifically, the student would investigate the potential for parasitic worms and their secreted proteins to influence human immune cell function and the composition of the gut microbiome. This will also involve working with leading clinicians who are conducting clinical trials in humans experimentally infected with parasitic worms.
