Summary of Project

Plasma-liquid systems have attracted increasing attention in recent years due to their high potential in environmental remediation, material processing, biomedicine and food applications. This project aims to understand the physical and chemical properties of plasma-liquid interfaces that involve a variety of energetic photons, ions and electrons, and to explore the applications of these systems in removal of emerging water pollutants such as microplastics and perlfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
