Summary of Project

The number of people with dementia in North Queensland is predicted to increase four-fold by 2050. The aim of this study is to implement and evaluate the FcTSim, with older adults with mild cognitive impairment into a North Queensland health setting. The FcTSim is an innovative cognitive and exercise training program using functional tasks as the intervention media. Researchers at JCU developed and demonstrated the efficacy of this intervention in a hospital setting in Hong Kong.
