Summary of Project

Agritourism is a generic term to describe any situation in which a person undertakes a holiday in an agricultural setting which engages with any agriculturally based operation or activity.  Agritourism is growing and can be a significant component of on farm income, as such there is a need to understand the safety risks and develop safety programs to help maximise fun and minimise liability.  To date there has been little work around agritourism safety, this project would explore current agritourism models, as well as the hazard and risk and develop an evidence base for their mitigation.
