Peer-2-Peer Welcome Support - Make a Booking

Commencing study in a research higher degree, particularly if you have moved to a different country or city, is a big step and it’s normal to take a while to settle in.  To make your transition to a research degree and to JCU as smooth as possible, we offer opportunity to meet with an Ambassador who is a fellow Higher Degree by Research Student (HDR) currently studying at JCU.

We will arrange for the Ambassador to meet you in person when you first arrive on campus and give you a tour. They can also address things you may not have yet considered and make sense of things you may find confusing. Previous HDR students have found this initial welcome very helpful.

We allocate an Ambassador to every new student! You should receive an email from your Ambassador some time in the 4 weeks prior to your commencement date.
