Summary of Project

Existing studies have tackled attraction themes such as cathedrals and castles and studied how different cultural groups view these spaces with implications for their presentation and management. The expansion of the themed areas to sites such as temples, palaces, viewing points, famous people, mountaintops (and similar nodes of interest) represents a way of systematically benchmarking sites and exploring tourists’ experiences and cultural frames of mind with on site management implications.
