Summary of Project
The world’s population is tipped to reach 9 billion by 2050 and international authorities estimate food production will need to increase by 70% if we are to feed the world in 2050. Data mining methods can make important discoveries that can lead to smarter, and more efficient agricultural practices. This project will develop and implement statistical algorithms suited for Big Data sets to advance the competitiveness of agricultural industries in the Tropics.
