Summary of Project

Surgical intervention is a major cornerstone in correcting pathology associated with peripheral artery disease (PAD). There is evidence suggesting that improving overall physical fitness in these patients improves post-surgical outcomes, although this has not been widely examined. We are interested in assessing the impact of frailty on post-surgical outcomes for PAD patients, ultimately with a view to identifying physical targets which can be used to improve the quality of life for these individuals.
