Summary of Project

Memristors are promising nanoscale low-power resistors that have memory; They are shown to have various applications ranging from logic design to neuromorphic computing. This project is aimed at investigating various logic design methodologies using memristor and implementing a new memristive logic design family. It will also investigate the use of the newly designed logic family in implementing neuromorphic learning algorithms and machines. The project mainly involves software and hardware programming including computer simulations and implementations of memristive circuits. The application of this project is in developing low-power and high-performance learning machines, which surpass current conventional computers in terms of speed and power efficiency.
