Summary of Project

This program draws together themes of film and exhibition making, creativity, collaboration, new public anthropologies, material culture, sensuous scholarship, art as ethnography and social engagement. We have a strong emphasis on practice-led anthropological research methods and especially welcome candidates whose projects involve filmmaking, new media, art and/or exhibition as research method. This program is part of an on-going collaboration between JCU and the Moesgaard Museum and Aarhus University in Denmark and so successful candidates will become part of an exciting international research team. Suitable candidates will be eligible to enrol under a cotutelle arrangement between JCU and AU.
