General English Program (CRICOS 050102B)

Intensive courses: 25 contact hours per week (full-time) or daily rate (part-time).

Course options: Elementary to Advanced levels.

General English courses are designed to:

  • Develop formal English proficiency skills as well as language skills for general purposes

  • Provide students with a foundation of essential English language skills required in educational and professional workplace environments

  • Focus on intensive learning for higher performance and achievement of outcomes.

  • Develop your skills in English to a point where you can progress to the Direct Entry English Program (DEEP 1)

Assessment

You will have weekly in-class assessment in the core areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, as well as skills such as presentation, delivery and structured discussions.

Every five weeks, you will also undergo testing and receive a report on your progress. Your progress through the program levels will be based on the results you achieve.
