If you are an international applicant currently completing Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia, you will need to apply directly to James Cook University.
The Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) does not assess international applicants for James Cook University.
International applicants completing Year 12 or the IB in Australia must supply the following information with their application:
- Year 11 term one and two reports
- Up-to-date Year 12 results
- Passport details confirming your name and citizenship
- Current visa details
- Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) if you are studying in Australia on a student visa
Applicants for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Veterinary Science must also submit additional forms which can be accessed here.
When to apply
International applicants can apply anytime during their Year 12 studies. If you apply before your Year 12 final results/ATAR results are available, your application will be assessed for a conditional offer.
Application deadline: 31 January 2021
Please note that the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and the Bachelor of Veterinary Science have an earlier application deadline of 31 August 2020 and further information is available here.
