Year 12 International Applicants

International applicants currently completing Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia apply directly to James Cook University. The Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) does not assess international applicants for James Cook University.

The following must be submitted:

  • Year 11 term one and two reports
  • Up-to-date Year 12 results
  • Passport details confirming your name and citizenship
  • Current visa details
  • Confirmation of Enrolment if you are studying in Australia on a student visa
  • Applicants for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, or Bachelor of Veterinary Science must also submit additional forms which can be accessed here.

You can submit your application any time during Year 12 - and before the application deadline of 31 January. If you apply before you have received your final Year 12 final results, you will receive a conditional offer.

The Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and Bachelor of Veterinary Science have different application deadlines. Please ensure you read the detailed information about the application process for these courses, which is available here.
