Submission Instructions

Abstract submission deadline 15 May 2018

The XIII International Symposium of Genetics in Aquaculture encourages the submission of high quality oral and poster presentations. Papers submitted for "oral presentation only" may not be accepted as oral presentations due to the limited number of available time slots but will be offered the option to present as a poster presentation.


Each oral presenter shall be allocated 15 minutes (12 minutes presentation and 3 minutes for questions). Oral presentations should only use PowerPoint slides in 16:9 ratio. Overhead projectors and video players will not be available.

All presenters are required to pay their own registration, accommodation and travel expenses.

Abstract submission

Abstracts must be submitted using our online abstract upload and submission form.

All abstracts should be provided in DOCX format.

Successful abstract submissions will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt.

The preference for oral or poster presentation should be indicated by the applicant during the submission process, however the final decision on the presentation format will be made by the Scientific and Organising Committees.

Abstracts will not be edited. Authors are responsible for any spelling, grammatical or typographical errors contained in the submitted abstracts.

You may submit more than one abstract.

Please do not resubmit an abstract as this may lead to duplication.

Abstract acceptance

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

You will receive an email to confirm that your abstract has been accepted and whether it will be an Oral or Poster presentation. You will be provided an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence.

Once the abstract is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and present the work at the conference.

You will always receive an acknowledgement of your abstract submission. If you do not receive anything, please send an email to to make sure we have received your abstract.

All abstracts should be written in English and provided in DOCX format.

Paper titles should be printed in CAPITAL LETTERS. Do not include author names in the title.
