Residents of JCU Halls can apply for a number of payment discounts and rebates, including a discount for advanced payment, family group discount, and refund for payments in credit (eligibility criteria applies).
Note: All discounts and rebates listed herein are effective from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 and pertain only to Residents with a 2019 Residence Contract and only for the duration of their contract.

We offer a weekly discount where fees are paid in advance either for the entire contract period (semester or academic year) or biannually for the academic year.
To be eligible, residents must pay the full amount due, including any additional charges or outstanding balances they may have, by the due dates.

Residents appointed to a Residential Assistant (RA) Room are not eligible for the advance payment discount whilst occupying the RA Room.
We offer a family discount to any siblings who reside at the Halls concurrently. The discount applies to each eligible sibling. Make sure you notify your Hall office if you are eligible to receive this discount.
$5 per eligible sibling, per week.

If your account is in credit at the end of the residence contract period, credits can be refunded upon request or carried over for the following semester.
Where fees have been paid by direct debit from a credit card or bank account, or paid online by credit card, refunds can usually be processed to the same account.
Alternatively, we can transfer the refund to a nominated bank account. A processing fee applies to international bank transfers.
