Residents electing to pay in fortnightly instalments must set up a payment authority via the JCU Halls Portal to allow direct debits from either a credit card or bank account.
Residents may only elect to pay their accommodation fees as fortnightly instalments on the provision they are always paid two weeks in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available when payments are due, and alternative arrangements are made if your account is cancelled or suspended for any reason. If paying by credit card, you must update your 'Payment Authority' via the JCU Halls Portal:
- Your credit card expires;
- Your credit card is lost or stolen; or
- Any other alterations are required.
Payment Due Dates
Accommodation fees are due every second Monday, commencing and ending on the dates indicated for each contract type (as listed below). Direct Debit payments will be processed on the Monday of the week due, unless the Monday is a public holiday, in which case payment will be processed on the next business day.
