Payment Methods

Residents must specify their payment period (fortnightly, biannually, or all upfront) and select a payment method at the time of accepting their formal offer of accommodation.

Residents choosing to pay on a fortnightly basis must set up a payment authority for direct debit payments.

Payment Authority (Direct Debits)

The easiest way to pay your fees is to set up a payment authority to allow direct debits from either a credit card or bank account. This payment type is mandatory for residents electing to pay in fortnightly instalments.

To get started, select 'Payment Authority' from the top menu in the JCU Halls Portal


For advance payments and additional or optional charges, we also accept the following payment methods:

Bank Deposit

Transfer funds into our account through internet and phone banking or in branch. You must include your name as a reference to ensure your payment is correctly identified.

Available with phone and internet banking. The biller code and reference number can be found on the bottom-left corner of account statements, or you can enquire at your Hall office.

Cash or EFTPOS

Cash or EFTPOS payments can be made in person at each Hall office.

Credit Card

Credit Card payments can be made online at any time via the JCU Halls Portal. Select 'Accounts' from the top menu.
