History of the prize

This prize was founded in 2007 by McKays Solicitors and is maintained with donations from them. The prize is awarded to a full-time student from the Mackay region, enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws, who has gained the highest pass in the subject Legal Concepts and who enrols in the following year for law degree studies at James Cook University.  Donor wanted to support students studying in a 3rd year law subject.

Awarded to a third year Bachelor of Laws student from the Ingham – Mackay region, enrolled full time, who has gained the highest overall result in the subject LA3014, Law of Trusts
