Key interest areas

  • Blended Learning. Kate has a keen interest in use of learning technologies exploring the use of learning environments for the 21st century learner, active pedagogies and the use of new technologies for learning in higher education. She has designed courses and researched the concept of using technology to enhance student experience and learning across a range of contexts.

  • Global Education. Kate is keenly interested in the impacts of globalisation on communities exploring how curriculum and educational offerings respond to the twenty-first century agenda.  Kate has researched and designed courses to reflect a ‘global perspectives’ and develop the skills and knowledge required to operate successfully in a globalised world.
