Blackboard Analytics for Learn™ Reports and Dashboard

Blackboard Analytics for Learn extracts existing information from several university systems, including Blackboard Learn, the Teaching Roles Database and the Student Management System, to display reports and dashboards focussed on learning and teaching within LearnJCU administered subjects.

Teaching staff (subject coordinators, lecturers, tutors, learning advisors) in a subject will have access to the following five reports in LearnJCU.  These reports analyse individual student progress and their use of LearnJCU during the study period.

  • LearnJCU Subject At A Glance: This reports provides summary student engagement information within a LearnJCU subject site. The report can help analyse how a LearnJCU subject site is designed, how the site compares to other sites, how students are progressing in the subject, and how students are interacting with the site (e.g., number of site accesses, minutes in the site, number clicks in the site).   • LearnJCU Access and Grade Scatterplot: A scatterplot comparing GradeCentre results with accesses to the LearnJCU subject site. More…

  • Activity and Grade Matrix: This report displays GradeCentre and interaction data on a relative basis for students enrolled in a LearnJCU subject site. The data is displayed for each student in aggregate, and per week for the respective study period. More…

  • Subject Submission Summary: This report displays information on student submissions within a LearnJCU subject site. Assignments, Blogs, Discussions, Journals, Safe Assignments, Surveys, and Tests are all defined as submissions. More…

  • Student At A Glance: This report provides summary information (subject accesses, minutes in the site, interactions and assessment submissions) for an individual student compared to the average for all students in the same LearnJCU subject. More…
