Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA)
HERDSA is a scholarly society for people committed to the advancement of higher and tertiary education. It promotes the development of higher education policy, practice and the study of teaching and learning.
Innovative Research Universities (IRU)
IRU is a network of six comprehensive universities conducting research of national and international standing.
Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT)
The QILT website provides prospective students with relevant and transparent information about Australian universities from the perspective of recent students and graduates. Non-university higher education institution results will be published on the site as they become available.
The Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT)
The OLT promotes and supports change in higher education institutions for the enhancement of learning and teaching. It forms part of the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training.
Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA)
TEQSA regulates and assures the quality of Australia’s large, diverse and complex higher education sector. TEQSA registers and evaluates the performance of higher education providers against the Higher Education Standards Framework; specifically the Threshold Standards, which all providers must meet in order to enter and remain within Australia’s higher education system.
Universities Australia represents Australian universities in the public interest, both nationally and internationally. As the voice of Australia’s universities, they support a sustainable national university system characterised by inherent quality, accessibility, innovation and high performance that affirms Australia as a world-leading nation and valued international partner.
Australian Learning and Teaching Fellows (ALTF)
The ALTF network was established in 2011 with support from the Australian Government's Office for Learning and Teaching. The network comprises over 60 scholars who are well placed geographically, institutionally and within their discipline communities to promote and sustain effective learning and teaching in Australian higher education, now and into the future. The Fellowships program advances learning and teaching in higher education by supporting a group of leading educators to undertake strategic, high profile activities in areas of importance to the sector. Through their fellowship activities, Fellows have a positive and lasting influence and impact on higher education practice in Australia.
