A catalogue for your auto-captured lectures

Think of a Mediasite Catalogue as a playlist of related videos

When lectures are auto-captured by the timetable integration they are added to a Mediasite Catalogue.  Learn more about the auto-captured lecture process.

  • Auto-captured lectures of a subject are automatically grouped in a playlist, called a 'Mediasite Catalogue'
  • The auto-captured lecture videos will need to be made 'Viewable' before students can see them in the catalogue

In Ultra subjects

  1. Log into LearnJCU
  2. Enter the subject site where you would like to link to your Mediasite Catalogue
  3. Hover over an area you would like to add your content and click on on the '+' icon
  4. Click on Content Market
  5. On the Mediasite Catalogue card, click on the '+' icon in the bottom-right corner
  6. You will now see the Mediasite Catalogue link added to your content
  7. Enter a description and change title if desired
  8. Ensure your link is made visible to students.

After publishing a catalogue to the subject the the following workflow is the quickest way to make auto-captured lectures available to students.

  1. Click on the link to the presentation in the notification email
  2. Login to Mediasite if not already logged in
  3. Move the slider on the left hand panel under Who can view? to Shared Users
    1. This automatically makes the recording available in the subject catalogue in LearnJCU
  4. Advise students it is available for review

To add videos to a catalogue a module must be added to the video:

  1. In My Mediasite Dashboard find the video you would like to add to the catalogue and click on it
  2. In the right-hand menu, click on the menu point Edit
  3. In the ‘Edit Presentation’ pop-out window, scroll down and click Add Module
  4. Select the subject ID from the list
  5. Click Save
