Many students who study at JCU have a first language or dialect other than English. These students often have different learning needs to native English speakers.
The following videos were created to assist staff to understand the realities facing JCU students for whom English is not their first language, and provide some teaching strategies as a method for assisting these students within mainstream lectures and tutorials.
