First Week Checklist

Welcome to your first week of studies. By the end of the first week you should be able to tick off everything on this checklist.

check mark I have checked my enrolment in eStudent, and I have completed GetReady4Uni, the online orientation program.
check mark I have my JC login, password and email address. I have also visited the Connect pages in Library and Computing.
check mark I have checked my student email for messages.
check mark I have enrolled in workshops to help develop the skills I need to improve.
check mark I have my Student ID Card (you can also get this in O Week).
check mark I have finalised my timetable (on campus students) and chosen all my tutorial/practical classes (pracs) classes. Visit Create your timetable in New Students.
check mark I know the exact location of all my lectures, tutorials, practical classes (pracs) and computer labs. Visit: JCU Maps.
check mark I have the Subject Outlines for all my subjects (available in LearnJCU).
check mark I know who my lecturers are and how to contact them.
check mark I know how to contact a student mentor (if I want to talk to someone who has been through this before) and have met other students in my course. Mentors are also available for students who are studying off campus.
check mark I have registered with the Accessibility Services if I have a disability, health condition or injury that may impact upon my studies.
check mark I am an international student and have registered my arrival with James Cook International.
