Responsibilities include:

• Copyright

• Administration of licence requirements and liaison with AVCC, CAL, Screenrights, Music Agencies, and the JCU University community with regard to:

  • Print and graphic copying and communication

  • Audio-visual copying and communication

  • Music copying and communication

• Claims to Copyright Agency Limited - royalties made available to JCU schools/units/centres

• Quarterly payments made to CAL and Screenrights for use of licences based on $ per "equivalent full-time student unit" (EFTSU)

• Co-ordinate surveys undertaken every 5/6 years by ACNielsen on behalf of CAL and Screenrights

• Training and orientation for students and staff

• Participation in the national University Copyright Network

• Authoring and maintenance of the JCU Copyright web pages
