We extend our congratulations to the James Cook University staff, former staff and alumni who have been recognised in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours list.
They are as follows:
Former JCU Chancellor Bill Tweddell - Member of the Order of Australia (AM) - for significant service to international relations, to education, and to the community
Dr David Rimmer - Order of Australia (OAM) – for service to rural and remote medicine.
Emeritus Professor Leonard Lindoy - Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) – for distinguished service to chemical sciences as a researcher, to tertiary education and in leadership roles.
Professor Kathrine (Kate) Galloway - Member of the Order of Australia (AM) – for significant service to the law, to education and to the community.
