Bachelor of Speech Pathology
Martina commenced working for MICRRH in July 2016. Her role is to provide strategic clinical leadership for the Service Learning program providing innovative and responsive allied health services in outback Queensland. She is responsible for developing and coordinating periodic, community-based, interprofessional, student-led services for adults and children of North West Queensland.
Martina grew up on the Sunshine Coast and studied Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Following graduation, she moved to Townsville where she has held a number of positions within hospital and community settings. In her previous roles, she developed a strong interest in clinical education of university students and enjoys contributing to the teaching and training of the future workforce. This is what lead her to commence in her position with MICRRH. She is also passionate about person-centred care and assisting people to achieve their goals and what is important to them and their lives.
