Generalist Medical Training is available in North West and Central West Queensland.

North West QueenslandGMT - North West Queensland

Visit the North West region and experience working in towns including Mount Isa and Cloncurry. Working as a Registrar in this region will provide you with medical knowledge and experiences unlike any other training location.

Enjoy working in Training Posts where your patient caseload varies from Indigenous Health, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicals for surrounding mines, Sexual Health, Minor Surgery, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics and Mental Health while being welcomed into a close knit rural community.

Hospitals are established in Mount Isa and Cloncurry with visiting health services from the Mount Isa Hospital to Cloncurry regularly.

Central West Queensland includes towns such as Longreach, Barcaldine, Winton and Blackall.

Enjoy working in Training Posts where your patient caseload varies from Indigenous Health, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicals for surrounding mines, Sexual Health, Minor Surgery, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics and Mental Health while being welcomed into a close knit rural community.

Hospitals are established in Longreach with visiting health services from the Mount Isa Hospital regularly.

Travelling to Longreach in the Central West can be done through direct flights to Mount Isa, Townsville and Brisbane as well as sealed highways throughout Central Queensland.
