I am an undergraduate student, what forms do I submit?

Commonwealth Assistance/HECS-HELP form

Do I submit this form? All domestic undergraduate students studying a full course (not single subjects) are Commonwealth supported and therefore need to complete this form. To double check, log onto eStudent, click on My Offers tab, then View next to your course. Your student type will be next to Liability Category. If you're supported, it will say C'wealth Supported.
What's it for? The Australian government will pay part of your fees directly to JCU, reducing your overall fee amount. Australian citizens, permanent humanitarian visa holders and some New Zealand citizens (who meet residency requirements) can also defer payment of their subject fees if you provide your Tax File Number. New Zealand citizens (who do not meet certain criteria) and permanent residents are not eligible to defer payment and not required to provide a Tax File Number.
How do I complete the form? Log on to eStudent, go to the My Commonwealth Assistance tab and complete the Request for Commonwealth Assistance/HECS-HELP form.

SA-HELP form

Who is eligible? Australian citizens, permanent humanitarian visa-holders and some New Zealand citizens.
What's it for? All students must pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSA Fee). Eligible students can defer payment of the SSA Fee by submitting this Request for SA-HELP form. You should do this even if you decide to pay up front – it's like a safety net in case you miss a payment in the future.
How do I complete the form? Log on to eStudent, go to the My Commonwealth Assistance tab and select the Request for SA-HELP form. You will need to provide your Tax File Number.

For more information about fees and help available, go to Fees and financial support.

I am a postgraduate student, what forms do I submit?

FEE-HELP form

Do I submit this form? Submit this form if you have not been offered a Commonwealth supported place for a postgraduate course (this will be the case for most postgraduate courses) and you are an Australian citizen, permanent humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen (who meets certain criteria). To check, log onto eStudent, click on the My Offers tab, then View next to your course. Your student type will be next to Liability Category. It will say Dom Fee Paying.
What's it for? Allows Australian citizens, permanent humanitarian visa-holders and some New Zealand citizens (who meet residency requirements) to defer payment of their subject fees when their course is not Commonwealth supported (usually only postgraduate students).
How do I complete the form? Log on to eStudent and go to the My Commonwealth Assistance tab and select the Request for FEE-HELP Form. You will need to provide your Tax File Number.
