New Students and Orientation
New students must activate their enrolment and the steps are exactly the same whether you are an off-campus or on-campus student. Visit the New Students website to get started, where you will also find the link to ‘Your Essential Checklists’ to help you with your transition into university life.
GetReady4Uni is JCU’s online orientation program, which is designed to be user-friendly for new students and contains helpful modules for off-campus students about commencing university study. It contains tips on how to succeed and vital information about Student Essentials, Academic Success, Student Support, and Orientation.
For students living in or near Townsville and Cairns, it may be helpful to visit the on-campus student information to familiarise yourself with services and facilities available close to you.
The Study Centres at Mackay and Mount Isa offer an Orientation Program for their students at each location. Information will be available online prior to O Week each study period, and sent to your student email address and registered postal address.
