Visit a Campus or Study Centre
Visit a Main Campus
All JCU webpages contain a link to interactive maps of each campus so you can find your way around. See Transport and Parking for information about transport services and designated car parking zones and permits.
Libraries on both campuses are open daily while classes are running, with extended hours during exam periods – see Opening Times on the Library website. The Learning Centre is also located in the Library and offers a drop-in service for students wanting to talk to someone face-to-face – see Learning Centre Services for further information.
General access computer labs are located in the the libraries and around the main campuses. Some are open 24 hours and include printing facilities. You will need your JCU Student ID card for swipe-entry access, and your JCU username and password to log into computers. To print, add credit to your account via CopyPrint at StudentsOnline or by accessing the pay stations located in the Library.
If you need to travel to the Townsville or Cairns campus for a block or residential subject or to sit an exam, the Accommodation website offers a range of options.
JCU takes the security of all students seriously, so if you are on campus late at night and require an escort to your car or accommodation, or have any other security concerns, you can contact the Security Service for assistance.
Visit a Study Centre
Since its establishment in 1970, JCU has expanded into a multi-campus institution with main campuses in the tropical cities of Cairns, Singapore and Townsville, and smaller study centres in Mount Isa and Mackay. Brisbane also hosts a campus, operated by Russo Higher Education.
