Cairns Campus

Drive north along Captain Cook Highway and take the first exit at the roundabout onto McGregor Road.

You can reach the Cairns campus directly from the city by buses #201 or #32. Visit Translink to plan your trip to James Cook University (JCU).

A convenient and comfortable way to travel, the Spirit of Queensland (from Brisbane) and The Savannahlander (from Forsayth) both offer rail travel services to Cairns regularly. Check out Queensland Rail Travel for details and timetables.

Cycling is a great way to get to the University. It reduces related greenhouse gas emissions, is great exercise, reduces transport costs, and reduces traffic congestion. JCU has bicycle parking facilities across both campuses.

Parking

Free parking will be available in the designated parking lot located on either side of the main entry into the campus. Optiminds parking is available in the designated parking lot behind building B1.
