Early Career Outstanding Alumni, College of Business, Law and Governance
David is an experienced corporate advisor with a passion for organisational risk and governance. He has worked for some of Australia’s most recognised and trusted advisory firms. And is one of KordaMentha’s youngest Registered Liquidators.
Growing up in Cairns, David completed his Bachelor of Commerce in 2008 before joining KPMG. Appointed as Manager at Vincents Chartered Accountants, David relocated to Brisbane and was a senior leader on some of the company’s largest relationships.
David’s expertise expands across numerous divisions of large national and international organisations and incorporates experience in finance, information technology, health and safety, sales and supplier procurement, human resources, risk, compliance, legal and asset use.
Focusing on people, efficiencies, and accountability to improve business processes, David’s experience has allowed him to become a proficient leader in negotiations, corporate strategy and operational management.
David gives back to the community through education programs, mentoring, guest lectures and moderation activities. He has been a committee member of the Queensland Chapter for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and also a member of the Young Professional Committee for CAANZ. In March 2022, David was elected by fellow professional members to the Queensland committee for the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association.
Earlier this year David embarked on the gruelling Chain Reaction Cycling Challenge in Tasmania to raise money for local charity partners AEIOU Foundation and Traction. After seven days, 1,000km, and over 13,000 meters of climbing, David’s team set the record for a Chain Reaction event and raised over $1.5 million.
David has led a strong career in corporate restructuring and was recognised for his efforts in July when he was promoted to Executive Director at KordaMentha.
