Phenotype Acquisition

The Phenotype acquisition work package will develop industrial-scale collection procedures and obtain phenotypic data for commercially important traits, including susceptibility to Gill Associated Virus (GAV), broodstock fecundity, survival and growth through various stages of prawn development, cooked colouration and tolerances to various physiological stresses. An important component of this work package  is to develop industry-ready challenge testing procedures for GAV and determine their reliability against pond infection data as a tool to facilitate selective breeding for GAV tolerance.
