The directorate of Financial and Business Services (FaBS), through the Grants Finance Officers, assist Principal Investigators (PI) with the management of the financial aspects of funding contracts. FaBS can assist you in invoicing, paying suppliers, and accessing your account and preparing financial reports. Use the Pricing Tool for assistance in creating your budget.

Research Professional

Research Professional is the preferred system used by the James Cook University research community to search for funding opportunities and funding related news. Every research student and employee has an account created and is automatically assigned to a default faculty, school or discipline from where they can share funding searches specific to their field.

Each user has a profile where they can bookmark their created funding searches (and/or adapted searches based on example searches) and create alerts to receive emails with funding opportunities based on these search criteria. Users can also assign themselves to more than one group within JCU.
