JCU has a range of Scholarships, Bursaries and Grants that are open to all students to apply. Awards can range in value from $500 up to $25,000 and cover academic merit, financial hardship as well as other general criteria to suit different student types.

New in 2018, JCU is proud to launch the George Alexander Foundation (GAF) Scholarships. GAF has an emphasis on helping talented young people, especially those from regional and rural areas and those who must move away from home in order to undertake higher education.

Innovator Scholarships

Technology is changing the world we live in. JCU's Advanced Science and Engineering courses are designed for tomorrow’s innovators and leaders. This scholarship is for you if you are planning to enrol in undergraduate studies at JCU in Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Advanced Science.

Arrow Energy-JCU Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarships

Arrow Energy is committed to supporting better educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by providing scholarships to support Indigenous students to attend and complete university.

Health

J K O'Brien Scholarship for Health Sciences

This scholarship was established in memory of the late Mr O’Brien and donated by his widow. The scholarship is to support a student who is active in the community and would benefit from financial assistance to continue their involvement.

QCoal Foundation Scholarship

QCoal Foundation has been established to deliver community-focused outcomes that enrich rural and remote Queensland. The Foundation is focused on three broad support areas of Health, Liveability and Education.

Mature-age female

Yvonne Thomas Bursary

This bursary has been established from the estate of the Late Yvonne Thomas with the funds to be used for or towards the improvement of education of women. Open to women aged 25 or over entering into undergraduate study.

Dean's Scholarship

Open to applicants who have achieved Overall Position (OP) score of 1.

The Deans’ Scholarships are offered to high achieving students and provides $10,000 per year for the length of their degree, allowing students to fully commit to their studies without having to worry about financial support.

Open to applicants who have acheived Overal Position (OP) score of 2 or better.

These 1-year bursaries are available to full time first year undergraduate students to provide assistance for living and study related expenses. The value of the bursary is $2,000 or such amount as the Selection Committee determine...
