Have your say about the SSA Fee

The 2017 Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSA Fee) allocation process will begin shortly.

We want to ensure that SSAF is utilised to improve the student experience at JCU. SSAF contributes to providing  a range of non-academic student support services and facilities that benefit students.

You are invited to take part in the SSA Fee survey and have your say about how the funds should be allocated in order to improve JCU's student services and facilities. The survey is open until 11.59 pm, 26 February 2017.

By taking part in the online survey, you can go into the draw to win an iPad Air 2 32GB, valued at $720.

About the SSA Fee

The SSA Fee was introduced by the Australian government to improve university services and facilities for students both on and off campus. All JCU students are required to pay this fee (except for a small number of exempt students). More information around payment and conditions of the fee are available on the SSA Fee page or email ssafee@jcu.edu.au.

Consultation with students
How funds are allocated is determined in consultation with students and student representative bodies, and the process is guided by the SSAF Income Allocation Working Group. All SSA Fee funded projects must be considered by the Working Group and are subject to final approval by the Vice-Chancellor.
