Each year TropEco hosts a Sustainability Program following on from the success of our past Green Impact and SOAP (Sustainable Office Accreditation) Programs. These programs have been fun, social and engaging opportunities for the JCU community to make a real difference to sustainability on our JCU campuses.
- Send a list of your team members, and best contact person for registration to [email protected]. Your team must have between 5 and 12 members.
- Participate in each month’s challenge. Each month will have a different challenge based on TropEco sustainability initiatives.
- The scoring of teams’ achievements will be done based on photos submitted to the program facilitator via [email protected]. A maximum of 5 photos showing different activities focusing on the month’s challenge can be submitted. A selection of the best photos will be featured on the TropEco Facebook page.
Get your building, office, laboratory, or research group together, nominate a champion and tackle fun, achievable challenges to fight the war on waste and pursue sustainability initiatives.
Teams can tailor their level of involvement to suit their capacity, so everyone can be involved, no matter how busy you are. Awards will be presented at the TropEco awards ceremony at the end of the year.
To get started,
Follow the TropEco Facebook page for updates and team pictures.
From making insect hotels, revolutionising tea room recycling systems, organising campus clean ups, and hosting staff stress down days, the 2019 Green Impact teams went above and beyond in their quest to be recognised as JCU's most sustainable team.
Visit the Green Impact @JCU Awards page to find out who won JCU's inaugural Green Impact Challenge!
Email [email protected] to register your interest or to find out more about the program.
