Staff volunteering leave scheme

JCU staff are entitled to two days paid volunteering leave each year to volunteer for not-for-profit organisations. Leave can be taken from your personal/carers leave balance. If you have an excess of sick leave this is a great way to use some up while doing some good.

TropEco can assist by teaming staff up with environmental and other organisations that support volunteer work. See our Community Volunteering Opportunities page for more information on some of the organisations you may like to volunteer with.
