JCU Cairns and Townsville are opening their doors for UniX Senior, a unique university experience where attendees can explore our campuses and get a taste of uni life. Hear all about our courses, pathways and scholarships and chat with current students and academic staff.

If you are a Year 10, 11 or 12 student based between Central and Far North Queensland, please complete the Student Registration Form.
If you are a Year, 10, 11 or 12 student travelling from interstate to attend UniX Senior, please complete the Student Registration Form.

UniX Senior will take place at JCU Cairns on 20 and 21 June 2023 and JCU Townsville on 11 and 12 July 2023.
Year 10, 11 and 12 students along with their school or parents/carers are welcome to attend UniX Senior to check out our campuses and activities.
We recommend you register to attend UniX Senior so you can receive our regular updates and skip the queue on the day.
These are heaps of fun things to do and see at UniX Senior, so we recommend you arrive early if you'd like to get the most out of your day. UniX Senior kicks off at 9 am.
Please wear enclosed shoes if you want to tour our facilities, including the science labs. We also recommend you wear something sun safe.
Make your way through the front entrance under the big blue archway, where you will see the welcome marquees. Here, you'll receive your UniX Senior welcome pack, which will include a copy of the program and event map.
After you have registered or checked in and received your welcome pack, head over to the information marquee to find out more information about the UniX Senior activities and events.
You are not required to register or book in advance to attend any of the presentations and activities on offer throughout the day.
A presentation schedule will be emailed out to registrants prior to the event.
Yes, our current students can't wait to meet you and answer your questions. Ask about student life, accommodation, life in North Queensland, study and work schedules ... anything you like.
Yes, there will be a variety of food and drink outlets operating on campus for UniX Senior.

Due to limited availability, the residential program for UniX Senior is only available to participating schools.
If you are attending this event without a teacher or school group, you must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.
Staff at the accommodation booth will be able to answer all your questions and provide information on all the accommodation options available. Accommodation tours will also run throughout the day.
Yes, there is disabled access to all buildings around the UniX Senior site. Staff and student ambassadors will be available to assist on the day, if required. Disabled car parking is also available for permit holders.
If you can't attend UniX Senior, you can book a private campus tour.
