Please select the PC (Computer) or Video by pressing the corresponding button on the panel shown above. Once you press a button, the red light in top left corner of the button lights up and a command is sent to the projector to accept the incoming signal from the selected media.
Projectors are generally set to automatically turn off after 3 hours continuous use. To reset this timer, briefly change the media before continuing (i.e change from PC to Video and back to PC) as you otherwise might be in the middle of a presentation when the 3 hours are up.
If you are in a room with a ceiling mounted projector, the image will appear in a couple of minutes as the projector has to warm up first. During this phase please desist from pressing any buttons. If no image appears after 5 minutes please call technical support.
Volume is controlled by the buttons located below the buyton labelled 'Volume' on the control. Ensure the Dell PC or laptop audio is not muted and turned up if the presentation contains an audio component.. The computer audio control is by way of an icon on the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen. Hovering over the speaker icon will show you the volume as a percentage of maximum volume. Click on the icon to adjust the volume.

To connect a laptop to the AV system, plug in the VGA lead, duplicate the laptop display and press the PC button on the control.
Press this button to show the presentation in both 17-033 and 17-035.
Please remember to press the Off button before leaving the room, unless of course the next lecturer/presenter is already present.
