AV Touch Panel Control

VAVS Home Help AV Touch Panel Control

Introduction

In rooms fitted with Touch Panel AV control, the system is defined as

  • Projector(s)
  • Cameras
  • Desktop PC
  • Laptop PC connection
  • Document camera/visualiser
  • DVD/VHS player (being phased out)
  • Microphone(s)
  • Audio streams
  • Volume control
  • Light control
  • Blinds control

However, unless the Touch Panel has been activated, most appliances on the lectern are not powered. Therefore, in order to get going, touch the screen to activate the system.

Touch Panel Control screen

Just like us, screens do go to sleep after a period of inactivity (black screen showing), in which case you need to touch the screen to wake it up – the screen above should appear before your eyes –  touch it again to activate the audio visual system.

Occasionally individuals with particularly inquisitive minds or those with a well meaning green conscience, turn the power off to the Touch Screen itself in which case you will have to locate the power switch situated on the lower right hand side of the outside frame and turn it on.
