This room is fitted with two lampless projectors and a wall mounted monitor which are turned on from a control on the presenter's desk. Pressing the on button will turn on the projectors, monitor as well as lowering the motorised projector screens. The screens can be individually raised and lowered if required (screen up and screen down buttons).
The interacting hardware between you and the Cisco C90 is the Tandberg remote control, usually located on the presenter's desk. Pick up the remote to activate the system.The projector screens and monitor will display the videoconference splash screen. The current camera angle is shown in a picture-in-picture at the bottom right of the monitor. The monitor may also show a menu in the bottom left corner. Press the pan left button to remove it. Point the remote towards a camera before pressing a button.
The action of the 5 buttons along the top of the remote corresponds to the labelled tabs visible along the bottom of the monitor.
There are two cameras in the room, presenter and audience camera. Select the presenter camera by pushing the 1st button from the left of the five buttons arched along the top of the remote. To select the audience camera press the 2nd button from the right. Make the necessary adjustments to the camera angle (pan, tilt and zoom).
Videoconference calls are scheduled and automated by VAVS and are in common teaching rooms usually connected at five minutes to the hour. Once the call has been connected, indicated by the connected room appearing on the comfort monitor as well as on the projector screen furthest from the presenter's desk, a media source (PC, laptop or document camera) can be added as a presentation.
To add a PC presentation to the videoconference, briefly press the Switch to PC button. The PC will be shown on the projector screen closest to the presenter's desk.
Connect the laptop to the AV system using the
Duplicate (clone or mirror) the laptop display and momentarily press the Switch to PC button
To show what is on the document camera, press the Home button and select Presentation from the menu. Select Doc Cam and press OK.
Briefly press the Switch to PC button.
