Videoconference mode

Videoconference mode is a prerequisite for a videoconference and for Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) participation.

The system defaults to selecting Camera 1 (the camera located above the Chamber entry door). To view the current camera angle, touch the Selfview button. Touch Camera 2, Camera 3 or Camera 4 to select another camera. Adjustments can be made by touching the on screen controls for pan, tilt and zoom or by recalling a preset by touching one of the preset buttons labelled 1, 2, 3 and 4. To store a preset, touch and hold a preset button until a confirmation message pops up.

Videoconference calls are usually scheduled by VAVS (start time, end time and participants). To connect a call manually, touch the Dial or Contacts button. An entry for connecting to the Council Chamber VMR is available from the Contacts button

Once a videoconference call has been established, indicated by the far end room(s) appearing on the displays in the Chamber, a laptop or PC presentation can be shown. Touch the button corresponding to your choice (Laptop Inner, Laptop Outer or Local PC). The conference picture layout can be changed by touching the Layout button.

The microphones, located above the projectors, can be turned off by touching the Mute button - a red light on the microphones indicate they are muted. Touch again to unmute.
