James Cook University has committed to undertaking a policy review of smoking on campus. To assist with the review, JCU is participating in the SAVE (Smoking and Vaping in Education settings) Project, and has created a survey accessible to all JCU staff and students. This survey has approval from JCU Human Research Ethics Committee and will provide an insight into staff and student knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding smoking, vaping (use of e-cigarettes) and smoke-free policies.
Data from the survey will be used to help form future policies regarding smoking and vaping on campus. The survey is voluntary however, we encourage all staff and students to participate, to help shape the future of JCU.
