Morning on the Bommie

6:12am, 1st September 2018

This is a 35 minute video taken in September (spring in Australia) from our underwater camera in Pioneer Bay off Orpheus Island. It's low tide and a lovely clear morning. There is a lot of fish activity. A bommie is an outcrop of coral reef.

Fish visiting the bommie include parrotfish, squirrelfish, rockcod, damselfish, surgeonfish and keep an eye out for the coralfish and the six-banded angelfish.
